Why support NEWfit on #Giving Tuesday? 
We believe in a world where anyone can lead a fit and fulfilling life. For many of us, that means a daily routine of exercise and wholesome meals. But for many Baltimore City youth, a fit and fulfilling life begins simply with opportunity. Our mission is to spark a lifelong practice and passion for wellness through fitness and health education programming. We offer year-round recess and competitive athletics to elementary and middle school students who typically lack access to recreational activities of any kind. 
 
Since its inception in 2013, NEWfit has served over 12,000 students—including parents and teachers—in over 100 Baltimore City Schools, and we continue to increase our efforts to meet the demand for more recess and competitive athletic programming. Everyone, no matter their age, race, background, education or external circumstances, deserves equal opportunity to health and fitness experiences. 
 
Through our work, children and adults alike develop knowledge, skills, and values from NEWfit programs to live fit and healthy lives. Help us empower Baltimore to reach its wellness potential by supporting us through a gift on #GivingTuesday to help us reach our goal to raise $1,000.

• $5: provides 1 reusable water bottle to keep kids hydrated during NEWfit activities 
• $10: provides 5 hula hoops for recess 
• $15: provides 1 basketball, soccer ball, or dodgeball for recess or competitive sport leagues 
• $27: provides one hour of coverage for a coordinator to be in schools providing recess so students get their dosage of active time 
• $135: sponsors 1 student for a season of competitive sports
